Longing for Spring...

I can't believe we are still wearing winter coats, scarves and wool stockings at the end of March!

It's rainy, dark and it seems more the end of November than the beginning of Spring...

Luckily enough, I had to think about something spring-y for my DT project this week at Broken Box Stock and I was inspired by flowers, butterflies and pastel colors!

I wanted to create something fresh and new for a desk, to inject some positive thinking into these boring days and made this:

For this notepad I used T.G.I.F. digi stamp from Broken Box Stock and colored it with Copics and lots of glitter. I love this gal, she's so pretty and happy! She really makes me smile every time I see her! And I'm never too tired to use her for my projects!

Well, let's start your Spring projects and enter Challenge # 22 at Broken Box Stock!!
You can find directions and lots of inspiration from my fabulous fellow DTs here.

Well, better go now, there's still a lot to prepare for tomorrow!

Happy Easter!

Pure Cuteness...again!

I made this card a couple of days ago but yesterday I was too excited with my new tags that I chose to showcase them first...

How cute are these cats?
My mum loves cats and when I saw this stamp from the Mulberry Wood Collection in the Bunny Zoe Crafts Shop I decided to buy it and make a card for her for Mother's day.
Unfortunately, her cat is not well and we're expecting the day he will leave us so I don't think it's a good idea to send her a card with cats on them this year...

I wanted to make a super sweet super feminine card, with lots of flowers and pink!
I've found a lovely cream card in my stash which matches perfectly the background of this floral paper I've just found in a magazine and which is perfect with pink.
Then, I added a ribbon, a little rose and some tiny butterflies...

Pure Cuteness...

Inspired by two challenges this week, I've just finished these:

Aren't they cute? Ohhh!!! I love them! They make me sing and be merry!

Let's start from the beginning...

Tiddly Inks Challenge is about "Anything but a Card" and the ABC Christmas Challenge asks for felt or fabric, so I decided to create these tags!
First, I printed a couple of Wryn Goes Caroling images from Tiddly Inks, colored them with two different color combos and then started looking for a tag with the right dimensions.
The tag was covered with music paper and the lower part with fabric. Then, it was all about adding the details... so much fun!
I think I'm going to make a few sets for next Christmas!

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge # 100!

This week, the challenge at Sparkle Creations was about a sketch, this one:

As I usually do when I see a sketch, I started to be afraid I couldn't make a card out of it. I'm waiting for my new stamps from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps to arrive and I hoped to receive them to get some inspiration.
Yesterday, I decided it was time to make the card and it came out very smoothly! My Traveling Josh stamp was still to be colored that the card was already made!
I must admit that, although I started with the stamp I wanted to use, everything ran smooth when I saw an old paper in my stash...

But let's see the card first:
The paper is from Autumn Leaves and I loved the idea of trains as starting point for a traveling young boy. I loved the colors and decided to color my stamp accordingly. Then, I added a journaling card from SMASH and a few other details to follow the challenge requirements and to finish the card.

I'm really proud of my card, being something a bit unusual for me!

Time for an Easter Challenge at Broken Box Stock!

With Easter just around the corner it's time to prepare Easter cards!

Broken Box Stock Challenge this week is about Easter so, if you havent' finished with your cards yet, think about making one (or even two), take a photo before sending it to your dearest ones and enter the challenge!

I had two digi stamps to work with and since I loved both of them, I decided to make two cards.

The first one with the new Easter Bunny Toodle (available here as black and white digi stamp and here in a pretty colored version) with a lovely glittered cardstock from the Bunny Love Collection from Best Creations and two stripes made with washi tape.

The second with Easter Toodle (available here as digi stamp and here colored) again with a lovely glittered paper from the Bunny Love Collection from Best Creations.

Both images are colored with Copic markers and glitter, glitter, glitter!
The dotted and the sriped papers are from Craftwork Cards.

I really cannot decide which is my fav!

Ready to make your Easter cards?

Christmas 2013 - Cards # 6 (and 7)

A while ago I was invited by Hazel to join Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra with the card I submitted to another challenge.
Delighted for the invitation, I decided to make a new Christmas card and, inspired by this week theme at the ABC Christmas Challenge, I made this card:

A few days before Christmas I discovered this stamp by Tina Wenke available from Stampavie and I struggled to find a seller who could send it to Italy without spending a fortune. It took a while to arrive but I love it and this was the perfect occasion to use it!
You know my love for carolers and these little critters make no exception!
I mounted them on a white card using cardstocks I found in a magazine and a lovely ribbon.

Oh... they are so cute!

This card is for the following Challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra: Anything Goes
ABC Christmas Challenge: E for Eyes Down for a Game of Bingo (Not a Square-Pearls-Ribbon)
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long Challenge # 6: Use Patterned Papers

286 days to Christmas and two more cards are ready!
(Well, yes... I loved these critters so much that I made two copies!!!)

Another Easter Card

I've just finished another Easter card:

This time I've decided to "go green" for my card. I've used a glittered cardstock from the Bunny Love Collection from Best Creations which I've matched with a striped paper from my stash.
The yellow on the cardstock suggested me to put a yellow ribbon next to the image from Broken Box Stock: she is Easter Toodle (available here as a black & white digi stamp and here in a colored version).
I love that little bunny hiding eggs in her hair!
A touch of glitter, rhinestones and a button to decorate the card and voilà a fresh and sweet Easter card!

Being Late

I'm rarely late.
Although I don't like wearing a watch and all the clocks around the house do not give the same hour, I manage to be always in time. Maybe my Swiss ancestors passed on an inner clock...

But I often forget dates... I don't know if it's due to the fact that I'm getting older or that I care less than I used to do when I was younger but I tend to forget. Not important things, of course, but some details like birthdays or things like that.
What worries me most is that I always remember birthdays of older friends while I forget those of my most recent friends...

When I saw this lovely snail in the Doodle Dragon shop last year, I decided it was perfect for a card (maybe more than one...) to say sorry for forgetting and being late...

I've made it in pretty girly colors but I think it could look great in blues or greens, too.
I printed the paper from an old file I've had for ages (but it was saved as flower paper, so no clue of where it came from), some DCVW hot pink paper (a wonderful shade of hot pink!!!) and a matching ribbon.

I love the face of the little snail... it's the same face I should have when I realized I've forgotten something...

Christmas 2013 - Card # 5

I'm a bit busy with Custom orders, so I have little time to make new cards and, of course, Christmas cards are the most neglected.

But I did want to enter the ABC Christmas Challenge and I did want to make a card for the new challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps (I won last week!!) so I've found the time to make a card suitable for both challenges.

Here's my card:
I've used Christmas Tree Ruby from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps (well, yes! I've finally treated myself with some new stamps from them so I can work with new images!! I really look forward to receiving them!).

Papers are from the Stocking Fillers collection from First Edition Paper. I added a vintage lace ribbon which I stole from my mom's sewing basket a while ago and had the awful idea to thread a satin ribbon in it. It was a hard work (because I did not want to get up and take a wool needle to make the job easier...) but it was worth the effort!
Lots of glitter, a little shiny bell, some rhinestones and a pearl on the sentiment give special touches!

I love pink and this card is so pink and girly!!! Ruby is for sure my favorite character at Sparkle Creations!

I'm entering it in the following challenges:
Saprkle Creations Challenge # 99: Lace
ABC Christmas Challenge: D for Designer Paper
Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge: Use Lace
Christmas Card Challenge # 14: Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge # 114: Ribbons
In The pink Challenge # 14: Pink and Bling

295 days until Christmas and 5 cards are done!

Spring is in the Air!

What a lovely spring Sunday is today!

Weather is finally warm, sun shines and... Easter is coming!

I've just finished a spring-y Easter card:
I've used the lovely Easter Bunny Toodle from Broken Box Stock (available in both a black and white digi here and as colored digi here).
I've colored her with Copic markers and glitter, added two pearls as earrings (as usual) on a white card with spring patterned papers (the one with the butterfly is from the Bunny Love Collection from Best Creations).
I've added pearls in the corner, two washi tape flags and some paper butterflies.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Spring!

Happy St. Patrick's Day at Broken Box Stock

There's a new challenge at Broken Box Stock: Make a St. Patrick's Day card!

This is my card:

I wanted to do something different and avoid all the green usually related to this celebration. For this reason, I went for some soft green-soft browns-gold papers from the Linen Closet Collection by DCWV.
The image is the lovely Saint Patrick's Day Toodle from Broken Box Stock (available in black and white here and in a colored version here).
